She is known for her trade-mark brunette, curly locks.
But it looks like a summer of change is in store for model Holly Carpenter.
After a lot of back and forth, the Dublin beauty finally decided to take the plunge and dye her precious hair blonde.
And it looks like there could be more change in store for the 22-year-old as she said that she wants to make her hair lighter gradually.
The Raheny native is also hoping that her new sassy do scores her points in the fashion industry and admitted she felt hair envy for her model pals, who are in high demand with their blonde hair.
'I just thought it was a time for a change,' Holly told
'I was in with Ceira Lambert, who does my hair extensions on Wednesday so we went for it because I want to go lighter for the summer'.
'I look at girls like Theo (Sutra) and Rosanna (Davison) who get loads of work and look so well with blonde hair so I thought why not give it a go?'
But the girlfriend of Irish and Leinster rugby star Cian Healy admitted that her new hairstyle is taking some getting used to, particularly her shorter locks.
'I had my hair extensions taken out because I had them for four years so I needed to give my hair a break.
'It is really strange getting used to it, I definitely don't like my hair shorter, but I am getting extensions again so its fine.
'I do like the colour, though, and I think it is something different.'
Holly was the centre of attention when she turned lady in red with a tight-fitting Starla frock when she joined her other-half at the Leinster Rugby Ball earlier this month.
A previous finalist on TV competition Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model, Holly regularly works out with a trainer to maintain her svelte figure and shares her health and fitness tips with fans on her blog.
The Dubliner has been much more open to experimenting with her look since taking part in the show, led by supermodel Elle MacPherson.
Despite constant criticism from Elle for wearing too much make-up, Holly said that she has toned down her prep time for model jobs, but will continue to glam it up for nights out, hair extensions and Louboutins in tow.
The model is gearing up for a romantic trip to Spain with her rugby beau at the end of this month.
'We're due to go to a wedding of one of Cian's mates in Spain so I'm really looking forward to getting away for that and spending some time together,' she said.
'I'm not sure how many of the other lads and their girlfriends or wives are going to be there, but it will be a fun weekend.
'The wedding is only a three- day thing but we are going to try and turn it into our actual holiday for the summer.
However, it will only be short summer holiday for the couple of more than two years as Cian could still be needed for training with the Irish squad ahead of their two-match tour against Argentina this autumn.
'I would love to be able to stay another 10 days after everyone else goes home, but we'll have to wait and see what happens,' said Holly
'It all depends on Cian's rugby schedule because you never know when you will get time away from work.
'But I'll definitely be at the wedding and a little longer for some sun.'
