Me Liquor and God |
I was true to my word and excitement about L'Occcitane's Apricot Solidarity Balm. Apparently most of the profit goes to the women of Burkina Faso which I'm all for. I mean its like woman empowerment, charity/funding and beauty all wrapped up in a sweet soft scented apricot tin of joy.
Now I noticed before buying the balm - that - whilst all the sale proceeds would be given to the women, the transportation of the goods, the tax and production costs would be taken-away from the total. *Scratches Head* To me that sounds like a lot to be taking away from a £4 balm. So, I am concerned at how much these Burkina Faso women are getting *side eyes*. Anyway I suppose having 100% sale proceeds is better than an undisclosed 0.01%. O.K. back to talking about the product ...
This balm can be used on skin, hair and lips. Its soft and leaves skin with a non-greasy glisten. I've tried it on my hair as a sealant (this required a lot of product usage hence the big finger marks in the product), on my lips and on my skin (face/body/hands). Personally I prefer to use this on my skin and lips rather than my hair. It has a soapy shampoo apricot smell that isn't pungent but soft and soothing just like the texture. I especially like using this around my cuticles since its conditioning but not greasy. I think its a great little product and I like the bright orange tin - super cute! One day it will be reused for my own concoctions .. Overall, I'm happy with it.
