Becca Eye Tint

Becca is famous for its Eye Tint, because the Eye Tint is supposed to be that do-all, be-all product. It is said to be waterproof, sweat proof, great for summer/beach holidays.

But I think, you have to first choose the correct colour.

Below, you see the 7ml tube and the ingredients list beneath. A lot of silicone and wax that makes it waterproof.

This is the colour that I chose because I think it is an amazing neutral taupe brown.

The product IS quite the dream to apply, spreads out well without separating, covers evenly, dries fast enough but with just enough time for you to work with it.

However, the pigmentation is not too good. It is not that concentrated paint stick product I imagined it to be.

Furthermore, the neutral taupe brown is way too neutral for my skin tone. I guess it is a little cool? Too cool for my warm yellow skin.

It makes my eyes look tired and punched, as you see below.

Your left: bare skin. Your right: Becca Eye Tint all over eyelids.

I have tried to work with this by using it as an eyeshadow base, but I realise that it is so slippery, no eyeshadow really stays well on it. =(

What a disappointment. Again, overpriced for a standard taupe brown. This gets 1 more point than the Becca Glossy Lip Tint, because I am thinking I might have gotten the wrong colour, and this could suit NW15-NW20 skin.

I realise I don't really need that hardcore waterproof feature although I live in the tropical area right around the equator. I don't go swimming at the beach all day long, and I don't put makeup regardless where I swim. Standard long-lasting makeup will do.
