HOLIDAY HAULIN'

Hi folks!  Hope life's treatin' you well! ^_^  If you follow me on Instagram, you may've been inundated with photos noticed I was on a (much needed) holiday.  It was short, but sweet.  It involved a lot of chillin' at the beach in my home town, a visit to Melbourne, and spending quality time with family and friends over some delicious food!  Of course, I couldn't go without a little bit of shopping, especially with all the new collections. >_<  So here are the beauty goodies I purchased!  As usual, I will endeavour to write a review and post some swatches of some of these over the coming weeks, so please do keep an eye out for those if you're keen. ;)
[A] Chanel Nail Colour in Exception (639) (new colour released alongside their new Rouge Allure Glosses)
[C] YSL 5 Couleurs Ready-to-Wear Eye Shadow Palette in Palette Fétiche (limited edition for fall/autumn 2014)
[D] Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette in Mind (limited edition for Stila's 20th anniversary)
[E] Chanel Rouge Allure Gloss in Extase (16) (new lip gloss range that are very pigmented and packaged the same as the Rouge Allure Lipsticks with their click and release mechanism. Extase is a medium, cool-pink).
[F] Kevyn Aucoin The Precision Brow Pencil in Brunette (an old favourite repurchased as I was running out of my current favourite Suqqu Liquid Brow Pen while I was on holiday and left my backup at home!)
[G] Nars Audacious Lipstick in Angela (bright, purple-pink)
[H] Nars Audicious Lipstick in Lana (bright, red-orange)
[I] Mac Cream Nail Lacquer in Dignity (very pretty, soft coral - limited edition from the Brooke Shields collection)
[J] YSL Nail Lacquer in Rose Scabiosa (48) - light to medium, lilac pink with a cream finish.

I also came across the new Chanel Mini Brushes that are usually released as part of the Christmas/Holiday collections.  (Note, the makeup/colour collection will come out in a couple or so weeks).  I already own a set from a few years ago and was about to pass on these, but I really liked how soft the bristles were on this set (the travel sets have previously been quite coarse and low quality in my opinion).  Love the case, the range of mini brushes and brush holder.  I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of these everyday as well as for travel.
The round mesh case comes with two zipped compartments and inside there's a removable, large round mirror.  Plenty of room for makeup and brushes.
Above, the brushes in the brush holder with respect to my hand.
[A] Contour Shadow Brush
[B] Mesh Brush Holder that can be laid flat or rolled and secured with a velcro so that it forms as a vertical-standing brush holder.  Very handy!
[C] Eyeliner Brush
[D] Eyeshadow Brush
[E] Powder and Cheeks Brush
[F] 2 in 1 Foundation Brush Fluid & Powder (like the Shiseido Perfect Foundation Brush I love)
[G] Lip Brush

I'm sure these brushes will sell out quickly, so hurry if you want them!
New WoodWick Candle in Beach Boardwalk (smells so good so can't wait to burn this!)
Hubby and I love L'Occitane and were super excited to find their new range of Shea Butter Ultra Soft Body Cream.  They come in three different scents (and pretty, bright coloured tins - perfect for spring and re-use!): Rose Heart, Vanilla Bouquet and Zesty Lime.  We purchased a few of them as gifts for family and friends and picked up the Zesty Lime for ourselves - smells divine! ;)  I also took advantage of L'Occitane's limited time offer where you can purchase a "Delights from Provence" gift set for AU$25 when you spend at least AU$60.  The set includes:
1x Shea Butter Shower Cream 75 ml
1x Shea Butter Body Lotion 75 ml
1x Bonne Mere Soap milk 100 g
1x Shea Butter Rose Hand Cream 30 g
1x Shea Butter Foot Cream 10 ml

Being a member, I was also given for free a 300 ml pump bottle of the L'Occitane Ultra Rich Hand & Body Wash (not pictured coz I forgot - sorry!).  So we walked away pretty happy. ^_^
Yes, having visited Melbourne, I had to pay a visit to Daiso!  The Daiso on Spencer Street is way bigger, well-stocked and have a broad range of goods compared to the store in Haymarket, Sydney.  So pleased to find the much-raved-about Detergent for Puff and Sponge there (read the review of it by Sarah from A Beautiful Story here). :)  I stocked up on my fave cotton pads (which do not have any stitching on the edges so they're super soft on the skin), and purchased a few things I've not tried before such as their makeup wipes and cleansing water.  At AU$2.80 you can't go wrong.  Have you tried these?  Let me know what you think!  Apart from these beauty buys, I bought my fave Caramel Corn snacks there (not pictured) - I am addicted to them! >_<

There ya go!  I didn't expect to have shopped during my short holiday but it seems my will power was on holiday, too at the time. *sigh* ;)

Thanks for looking! ^_^ xo
