Chris Dorner Search Hits Close To Our Home

This post isn't about the usual makeup or retro fashions that I normally write about, but it's pretty significant right now so I thought I'd share.

Unless you're living under a rock somewhere, you've all seen the news about the search for cop killer Chris Dorner.  Christopher Dorner Manifesto   Pretty scary stuff. They're looking for him everywhere!

Well early yesterday morning the search for him decided to hit home.. literally.  

At about 9:30am we received a knock at our door from 2 LAPD officers asking us if they could use our front patio for a stakeout spot. They said they liked it because it was high up, covered by trees and they have a clear view of anyone coming or going into our neighborhood. The two officers were very polite, and we of course we said yes they were welcome to use our home to protect our neighborhood.  It was very surreal though seeing them sit out there on our patio with their bulletproof vests, rifles, helmets, their bags of gear just waiting.. watching.  I wanted to be a good host, since they are protecting all of us so I offered them coffee, food and the use of our bathroom as they need it.  I chatted with them briefly and they told me that there is a person / house on our street (they won't disclose which one) that is mentioned in his Manifesto, so that is why the LAPD are watching our neighborhood. (they are undercover at all different locations) The officer reassured me that my family is safe and not in any immediate danger. Still a little surprising and alarming. 

They changed locations and left last night, and arrived at our patio again at 7:30 this morning. I wonder how long this will be going on? I am happy to do my part and help these officers anyway I can by letting them use our property, but it is still a little unnerving..  Hope you guys don't end up seeing my neighborhood on the news! hahaha... kinda creepy.  I think the baby and I will try to not be home too much these next few days.. just to be safe. We'll see what happens!
